Brothers and more compete in 2023 Barefoot Worlds
The 2023 World Barefoot Championships are now underway & we have five Canadians set to compete in Mulwala, Australia from February 15-19, 2023. Two Canadians will be in attendance as judges at the event. Two sets of brothers will be competing alongside each other at the World Championships. Sickinger brothers from Muskoka, ON and Midena brothers from Sudbury, ON will be competing alongside each other and against each other in the Junior Boys division at the World Championships. Gordie Croteau from Windsor, ON is the 5th Canadian competitor, rounding out an all Ontario Team going to the World Barefoot Championships.
Competitors competing at Worlds:
Open Team: Gordie Croteau (Windsor, ON), competing in Open Men Tricks and Jump.
Junior Team: Simon Sickinger (Muskoka, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks. Alex Sickinger (Muskoka, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks. Alex Midena (Sudbury, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks. Vincent Midena (Sudbury, ON), competing in Junior Boys Slalom and Tricks.

The semi-finals took place Wednesday, February 15 – Friday, February 17, 2023 and finals took place Saturday, February 18 – Sunday, February 19, 2023.
